Enhancing RAMS & System Engineering capability – A milestone with RDSO

Our training engagement with RDSO began at the Rail Analysis Exhibition 2025 in New Delhi and evolved into an intensive 100-hour learning journey focused on developing practical expertise in System Engineering; Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety (RAMS); EMC; and System Assurance.

The programme brought together 21 officers from RDSO, representing a diverse range of disciplines across Indian Railways. Despite their demanding professional responsibilities, the participants showed remarkable commitment, successfully completing the course through technical discussions, practical exercises, assessments, and real-world case studies.

A key feature of the programme was its emphasis on practical application. Participants undertook module-based assessments and coursework based on railway engineering scenarios, culminating in a 40-hour case study exercise covering live Indian Railways assets and projects, including LHB Coaches, Vande Bharat trains, and WAG9 locomotives. The programme is accredited by both CPD (UK) and IRSE (UK), ensuring alignment with international professional training standards.
